Alex Freund

Originally from Cleveland, Alex studied Computer Science at Miami University, specializing in applied graph theory. During this time he worked as a data engineer at Mavrck, deploying data pipelines and machine learning inference models at scale, which are still being used by Fortune 500 marketing teams today. While writing his Masters thesis, his passion for computing led him to publish four papers on Network Science in peer-reviewed conferences including the ICCS (International Conference on Computational Science). Following academic research, Alex joined SpaceX in Southern California, where he led a team to build manufacturing and supply chain optimization software. He traveled frequently to launch sites to design new systems for faster construction and turnaround of reusable rockets.
