Daniel Gruver

Originally from Southern California, Daniel has been interested in transportation, mobility, automation, and interface design for most of his life. He studied Engineering at Harvey Mudd College and focused his studies on modeling, controls, algebras, and program management. His first job was as a systems engineer at SRI International where he worked on information systems, building a GPS-based tracking system and related maps and visualizations tools. In 2009 Daniel worked on mapping and test operations for Google’s self-driving vehicle program. He proceeded to 510 Systems as an engineer and project manager, designing lidar systems for GIS and mapping. From there he worked at Google again, at OttoMotto, and at Uber ATG as a systems engineer and program manager, working on systems design, test, autonomous systems, and product design.
