Saunon Malekshahi

Saunon studied Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley. Originally from San José, Costa Rica, he completed his private pilot training at age 14 and went on to explore the aerospace landscape through research, industry, and competitions. He worked two years as an aerodynamics engineer at Natilus, an aerospace startup, developing unmanned aircraft for airfreight. This experience gave him great insight into the aviation sales cycles and regulatory environment. He also co-founded a research group at Berkeley that claimed 3rd-place at a NASA University Aeronautics Design Challenge for supersonic aircraft, and subsequently went on to conduct software research in autonomous driving, funded by Aptiv. He co-founded Moonware with the vision of building intelligent airfields that will disrupt the way we travel.
