Airfield deployment organization

Airfield Deployments is a newly formed team at Moonware responsible for leading the launch, configuration, and ongoing success of our products at airfields around the world.

Our Airfield Deployment Engineers (ADEs) serve as the primary bridge between Moonware’s Commercial, Product, and Engineering teams. ADEs develop a deep technical understanding of our solutions and work closely with customers to tailor and optimize deployments to meet each operation’s unique requirements. They oversee both the initial rollout of our products and the continued health and performance of customer deployments, becoming Moonware’s internal subject-matter experts on the airfields they support.

Moonware’s flagship product, HALO, is the world’s first Ground Traffic Control platform—an app-based system that streamlines aircraft turnaround operations and intelligently coordinates airfield resources such as staff and vehicles. We are also building adjacent products for emerging aviation domains, including ORION for Advanced Air Mobility and NOVA for Defense.

Because Moonware’s technology spans multiple operational environments, the work of the Airfield Deployments team extends across all product lines. ADEs partner closely with Engineering to deploy existing solutions, support new product introductions, and help shape how Moonware’s technology is adopted across the aviation ecosystem.

About the role

Moonware is seeking a talented engineer with strong interpersonal skills to effectively deploy our products across our customers’ airfields. In this hybrid product-operations role, you will take ownership of how our core products are deployed and integrated with a diverse range of customer profiles.

Your immediate responsibilities will include:

Leading product deployments with our customers, taking ownership of product integrations and launches at airfields around the world.
Developing requirements for new product features, particularly focusing on requirements provided by customers.
Architecting tailored solutions that capture the nuances of a customer’s operation.
Deploying, integrating and managing Moonware software & hardware systems in the field.
Collaborating and interfacing with internal & external teams to ensure successful product launches.
Transferring field knowledge back to engineering, forming a tight feedback loop of bidirectional engagement between Moonware’s engineering team and customers.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software engineering or working with software systems.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL required. Proficiency in Go is desirable.
Experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
Experience working with hardware systems & sensors.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
