Moonware’s team combines aviation operations domain knowledge together with software and engineering expertise from top Silicon Valley tech companies. As we scale, we’re expanding the Moonware ecosystem to support the next generation of air transportation.

About the role

We are seeking a talented iOS Engineer to help shape the user experience of our cutting-edge aviation software solutions. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing the Moonware iOS product. Your expertise in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design will be crucial in delivering high-quality experiences that meet the needs of our users. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll be a key player in driving innovation in aviation technology.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy high-quality iOS features and functionality
Drive improvements in app performance, scalability, and reliability
Lead implementation of key product and engineering initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally to align on goals and best practices
Champion engineering excellence through test infrastructure, documentation, and agile methodologies
Manage production issues and solve complex, novel problems
Identify opportunities to improve team processes and build better collaboration systems
Stay current with the latest iOS technologies and contribute to Moonware’s ecosystem

Requirements

3+ years of software development experience in iOS/Swift
At least 1 year of experience with Swift UI
Proven track record launching apps on the App Store
Experience working in agile development environments
Proficient with Git/GitHub for distributed version control
Strong knowledge of Apple SDKs and iOS development tools
Skilled in debugging with tools like debuggers, loggers, and crash reporters
Startup experience or roles requiring cross-functional responsibilities
Periodic on-call availability to manage an operationally critical app with tight SLA requirements
UI testing experience
