Originally from Los Angeles, Cecilia has 25 years of experience in the aviation industry. She studied Business Management at Pepperdine University where she graduated cum laude and obtained her bachelor’s degree. Cecilia began her career at Delta Air Lines where she worked in reservations and air logistics sales. She then moved to Swissport USA where she held roles in finance, commercial and operations at various leadership levels from station manager to chief operations officer. She spent the majority of her Swissport career in operations, where she played a key role in streamlining processes following a large-scale acquisition, leading multiple new customer start-ups, and turning around loss-making locations. Cecilia’s interest in aviation was sparked by her love for travel, which grew into a passion after learning about the complex orchestration required to turnaround just one single aircraft. Cecilia joined Moonware because she is fascinated by what the team is working on and wants to be a part of this needed change. She is excited to bring her ground operations expertise to the team and support the growth and implementation of a pragmatic solution to advancing the industry.
