Marco Monteiro
Originally from San Jose, California, Marco brings more than 15 years of experience building software where hardware meets the physical world.
Marco began his career at Comcast, where he led development of the first native Xfinity Home app and the platform beneath it, working on the connected home before it was a category. He then moved to Nest, where he helped build intelligent, internet-connected home products. Most recently, Marco spent nearly nine years at Apple, including four years in Special Projects working on the self-driving car program.
Marco’s interest in aviation began growing up across from a small airport in San Jose, curious about how things move and how software can control them. Learning to fly always felt out of reach, but that curiosity shaped his whole career.
He joined Moonware drawn to the same challenge that has defined his work: hardware, real-time data, and software coming together to modernize how airports actually run. Marco is excited to bring his experience building connected, real-world systems to help airfield teams operate with greater visibility, coordination, and control.
