Stuart Oran
Stuart Oran is an operating executive, investor, and advisor with more than four decades of leadership experience across aviation and aerospace, hospitality, and finance. As a Partner at Liberty Hall Capital Partners, Stuart has participated in acquisitions of and served on the boards of aerospace businesses including Accurus Aerospace, AIM Aerospace, Aircraft Performance Group, Comply 365, and Dunlop Aircraft Tyres.
In the past, Stuart held several senior executive positions at UAL and United Airlines including, Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Senior Vice President–International. As the airline’s first Star Alliance board member, he was instrumental in developing and launching the global network, which now includes 25 member carriers.
Following his tenure at United, Stuart became Managing Partner at Roxbury Capital Group, a merchant banking firm focused on the airline, aerospace, hospitality, and financial services industries. As an advisor to Oaktree Capital, he helped to acquire Spirit Airlines and for more than a decade, continued to serve as an advisor and Board Member through Spirit’s transformation from a small private carrier to a highly profitable, leading ultra low-cost carrier.
Stuart also co-founded and served on the board of FCB Financial Holdings, a publicly traded bank holding company formed to acquire failed banks from the FDIC, and has held board positions with OHA Investment Corporation, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Wendy’s International, and United Air Lines.
